1997 I was among the first residents to occupy the Historic Titche-Goettinger Building, now known as 1900 Elm.
1998 I took a job as the Assistant Manager for the Kirby Residences and was introduced to the Affordable Housing Program through H.U.D. criteria. I worked throughout the rehabilitation process as a member of management under Hall Financial Group, and with Turner Construction. Later that year I became a resident.
2000 I took a position as the Leasing Director and Marketing Director for South Side on Lamar, the historic Sears Building renovation. Working with Jack Mathews of Mathews Southwest and Turner Construction during the beginning phases of construction, I was charged with selling the “Urban Vision” of the southern sector, with only front elevations and floor plans to work from.
May of 2000 I purchased my own piece of history at 2617 South Boulevard in the South Boulevard Park Row Historic District.
2003 I became a REALTOR® for Ebby Halliday Realtors.
2006 I went to work with Remax under the Bianchi Group, which later evolved into 3B Real Estate Company.
April of 2008 I ventured out and started The Cruz Team.
I am a current member of Preservation Dallas, as I have been for many years, as well as a current and ongoing member of The South Boulevard Park Row Historic District Neighborhood Association.
I am currently a City of Dallas Landmark Commissioner and my political influences also provide a wide range of local project development experience.
I am fluent in English and Spanish.
